Aerial Burlesque
The only burlesque performer in the UK to combine singing with aerial skills Ruby creates a picture straight out of Moulin Rouge, as a sparkling showgirl songbird, singing and swinging high on her trapeze or cerceau, with several different acts to choose from.
Ruby’s shiniest credits include:
• Performing and singing Happy Birthday at Kiera Knightley’s 21st .
• Dancing on stage with CanBootyCan with numerous bands including FatBoy Slim, Alabama 3, The Orb, George Clinton and Parliament, 2ManyDJ’s, Groove Armada and Hexstatic.
• Recently being commissioned as a featured performer on the Dresden Dolls UK tour.
• Ruby has also performed her shows at Lost Vagueness, The Whoopee Club, Fabric, The Art Of Tease Ball, The Spiegel Tent, the Edinburgh, Glastonbury and FujiRock festivals and many, many more.
• She has also appeared in various music videos, including Oasis and The Dresden Dolls.
• A starring role in the independent film Les Fabulous Troubadours.
• Ruby is also featured in the new Julian Temple feature film about Glastonbury festival.
• TV credits include the BBC Glastonbury special on Midnight’s Carnival, the new field Ruby curated in 2005, playing Lord Rochester’s whore in the Sky TV documentary The History of Prostitution and with CanBootyCan recently featuring in the new C4 program; Beauty Reborn.
